Its bright peppermint bouquet and invigorating menthol freshness make it a standout addition to cocktails in every season.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is a fragrant, cooling herb widely used for both its flavour and aroma, as well as its long standing use in traditional medicine. A natural hybrid of Mentha spicata (spearmint) and Mentha aquatica (watermint), it offers a distinctive profile—less sweet than spearmint yet more intense than watermint.

Used in everything from teas to confectionery, peppermint is celebrated for its versatility. Bob’s Peppermint Bitters brings a refreshing profile to summer cocktails while adding a warming, aromatic lift to winter serves.

A touch of peppermint bitters adds an indulgent flourish to an Irish Coffee, Mint Julep or Mojito. Chocolate friendly spirits such as bourbon, aged rum and coffee liqueurs gain an intensified minty edge that enhances their richness.

Non alcoholic drinks also benefit beautifully. A few drops introduce a “holiday feel” to cola, lemonade or lime and soda. Bob’s Peppermint Bitters elevates a hot chocolate and adds a cooling sensation to milkshakes.

Peppermint has long been a classic partner for desserts and sweets, yet its culinary potential extends far beyond. It enlivens salad dressings and sauces, and brings freshness to Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Indian dishes.

From a culinary perspective…

This versatile product complements lamb marinades, adds brightness to a peach based marinade for pork and enriches the seasoning of a Moroccan fish stew. Pea purée, cucumber salads and barbecued vegetables gain vibrant lift with just a dash or two. Bob’s Peppermint Bitters also creates a cooling contrast to rich chocolate brownies, cuts through the sweetness of fudge or ganache and enhances berry compotes or Mojito inspired fruit kebabs with refreshing minty clarity.

With its woody mint profile, Bob’s Peppermint bitters can be put to use in a winter-inspired Mojito, or better yet, add it to a Thermos of hot chocolate to add a kick to your next toboggan ride.

Brad Thomas Parsons, author of ‘Bitters’

Bracing and minty, just one drop will transform your cocktail into a winter wonderland. Try these in Genever cocktails, hot chocolate, Irish Coffee or to add a touch of coolness to a tropical tiki styled beverage.
